I sized up as I wear a 38 in pants and the 40 was much smaller then other woven belts I have. Love the design and workmanship, but is very small.
Hi Michael, thanks so much for your feedback! For a size 38 pants our sizing chart recommends 42 belt, we measure from the point where the leather meets the buckle to the middle hole. Other brands may size differently, but this way is the industry standard. Belt sizing has evolved over time, as today's fabrics are thicker (chino, khaki, denim, etc.) and styles are more casual.
